Papertrey Make it Monday #3

This is my first Make it Monday Challenge that goes on every Monday at Papertrey Ink.  This weeks challenge was to use score tape and glitter.  I really like doing this!  I had not thought about doing this before and will be using this again!  I also used my new Doily die which I totally love!

Thanks for stopping by!

A full weekend

This weekend went way to fast for me!  It was a busy one but also a fun one!  It started out Friday night hanging out with friends.  Saturday was running around doing things around the house as well as town.  Then having dinner with friends which is always fun!  Today was my dear friend Sam's daughter's Baptism which was wonderful!  Followed by another dear friend Val's Birthday get together we had a girls day.  All and all great fun!  Above is a tag I made for Sophia's gift.  I made the tag with Papertrey Tag Sale die 2. The base is from a coster and then cover with paper. I used the Doily Details Collection with a Papertrey button.  The ribbon is Stampin Up!   I love the new Doily Collection and can not get enough of it.  I have also seen the Button Set one and really think that may have to be my next order!    Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week! Hope to have stamping time this week but in reality I think there is no free time until next weekend!  Well a girl can dream!

A week day post

Happy Thursday!  I ordered new goodies from Papertrey Ink last week with their February release and they came in the mail yesterday!  I only got a few things wish I could have gotten it all but I am not made of money.  I got all the doily stuff because I have been addicted to really doilies since I was a child.  I started collecting them when I was in the 5th grade and have them from all over the world.  I even have ones that were my Grandmother's.  I am really enjoying these dies.  I practiced with some stamps too but need more practice before I share with the public!  I ordered all the doily dies and have run all of them through my Big Shot the details they have are amazing!  I bought the metal shim with them and it paid off big I only had to push out a few little pieces of paper in the details.  I will share the other projects I am working on with the new stuff later in the weekend!  I am off to clean dishes and get ready for tomorrow! Have a wonderful Friday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday

Boy it seems that I have had not time to get in to my craft room these days!  I purged in there yesterday but never made it to the table to do anything fun!  Today I had time and wanted to work on my Challenge for Papertrey Inkers.  I had a few ideas I wanted to try.  We had to use the color of our favorite flower but could not use flowers. It was much harder than I thought!  I love all flower but lilac's remind me of my Mom so I thought I would use purple.  Here is what I can up with.
I used card stock from Stampin Up! , the designer paper is Papertrey It's Official!, Stamp set from Papertrey Just the Ticket, and the paper clip from who knows where!  I at first was not feeling it so I left it alone for an hour and came back.  I really like how it turned out.  Very simple and clean.  Let me know what you think!
On another note my favorite reason for living in the South is this time of year!  Here is what is coming up in my front yard!!  It is a crocus!!  I planted these years ago by my mail box and these are the only ones that have survived.  The forsythia also have started to appear.  Yay for the South!!  SO sorry to all those still buried under a lot of snow. That includes my Dad who I just spoke with where it is 38 degrees and a chance of snow tonight.  He did not enjoy the comments I made on our 60+ days yesterday and today.   I grilled out last night a yummy steak and tonight it is garlic lime chicken!  So looking forwards to the warmer weather I know will come soon!!  Well I am off to enjoy what is left of the day!  Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!!

Crafting Time!!

I finally got into my craft room today!  Yay me!! I made a few cards and picked up.  It really needs a good going through but after cleaning the rest of the house this morning I am not in the mood. I made this card for the Challenge over at Papertrey Ink.   We were to take something big and make it the focal point.  So I die cut Tag Sale #2 and Limitless Layers 1 3/4 " Collection die with a big poka dotted brad in the middle.  I then used a saying from Signature Greatings and stamped the saying in black ink.  It is very simple and I still thinking it is missing something but here it is for all to see!  Well I am off to get ready for dinner and a movie out tonight!  Happy Saturday!

Weekend!

It is finally Friday!  This has been a long week.   I have had no time to get into the craft room.  Much to my dismay, however it maybe that I have not been home before 8pm everyday this week.  So it goes!  Life!  It can get in the way of card making.  This is a card I made last weekend.  I love this set and want to figure out some other ways to use it.  I am hoping to get into the craft room tomorrow after I clean the house, do laundry, and before I go out tomorrow night.  Well I am off to do a few things before bed!
