A great weekend!!

Happy Sunday Everyone!  I hope you all had a great one!  I had a great one!! Yesterday I spent the whole day making cards! Then today I tried hot yoga!! What a blast!! Ok back to the card thing!
Yesterday's crop is one my friend Pam puts on a few times a year.  I love it because it is in town and I can come first thing (7:30am) and usually stay until closing.  This year I left about 8:30pm.  I made 20 cards.  It was great!   Loved to see the group of women that attend.  We did a lot of giggling and laughing.  We did eat well and a good time was had by all!  I really loved that I had nothing I had to do so I just did what ever!!
This card I made later in the day with left overs from another card I made and left overs from Pam's layout.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!!

Flowers

I recently picked up the March Card Maker Magazine. Inside they had a few tips on making flowers.  I used the tissue-paper flower technique.  I really like how easy it was and how it adds a dimension to my card.  I made a few with the white tissue paper and sprayed  a few with some glimmer mist as well. To add to cards in the future!

Supplies:  Dies PTI Tag Die #5, Sizzix scallops, Sentiment MFT, paper and ribbon unknown

Pintrest/ Happy Valentine's Day!

I found this idea on Pintrest.  I changed it up a bit. The woman used a round form which Hobby Lobby was out of when I was there.  I bought the heart shape you use a linen drop cloth for the strips then I added pink and red ribbons from my stash to give it a little color.  I now have this hanging on my front door!

Papertrey Day 7 Anniversary Contest

                        Day-7-Contest
In honor of the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday and Melissa Bickford's new Heart-2-Heart stamp series, your challenge today is to create a project that incorporates hearts into it's design.  They can be stamped hearts, die-cut hearts, felt hearts, glittered hearts, a heart border, or even hear shaped card base.  Want to be inspired even further?  Do a search on Pinterest or Google for hearts!

I finally got a chance to play today with Papertrey Ink's Contest day 7.  I had a really crazy week and have not been able to get into the craft room.  Here is my card inspired by Melissa's Heart-2-Heart stamp series.  I do not have any stamps with hearts so I used the only thing I had a Stampin' UP! punch.  I am not sure now after seeing it larger than life that I am really liking my card.  I may go back later and see what else I can come up with.  For now I am sharing though. Let me know what you think!

Happy Ground Hog Day!!

Well I am not doing great with my hopes of posting on a more regular basis.  Work has been very busy over the last month. We have had a major change and it has been busy!
Today I am sharing a card I made over my beach weekend last month.  I gave this one to a friend who recently had to put her best doggie friend down.  She really liked it and I am glad it made her bad day a little brighter.  I hope to post more this weekend!  I have a few fun things I have made recently that I want to share!  Got the ideas off Pintrest!  What a fun place!  Have a great Friday and wonderful weekend!
