Tags and a Tea Party

Today I went to a Tea Party!  It was a grown up one! Where we got dressed up and had tea in pretty tea pots and had yummy finger food with it! Why you ask?  Well my friend Kristen is getting married and we had a Tea Party Shower at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill. WOW!!  Is what I have to say!  It was so fun! We each were able to choose our own tea and it came in a really neat tea pot. No two were alike and the goodies were just yummy!  I love going to tea and wish I could do it more often! 

Anyway,  my story did involve some card making.  I put together cards for Kristen and made tags for her gifts. I really enjoy seeing how other view what I do.  I really was not feeling one of my tags, but everyone seemed to think they were great.  What do you think? I had trouble taking pictures of the one with all the metal. Sorry for the pictures.  First I can not find my camera cord so the picture is with my iphone.  

I am now hoping that my cord shows up soon or I am in trouble!  Well, I am off to finish some chores before bed!  Have a wonderful week!

Yesterday while doing my am internet reading ( blog reading and what not's) I was on the PTI form and saw that Laurie was doing a blog hop for Janelle for those of you who do not know Janelle she is battling brain cancer. Happy St Patrick's Day!!

Well I made these for the family and sadly they never made it to the mail. So instead I am sharing it here on my blog!  I hope everyone has had a wonderful day and is wearing green!  I did yard work and enjoyed the warm weather we are having. I think this is the earliest day of the year that my lawn needed to be mowed! Oh and it was in shorts!  Tomorrow I am tackling the front beds and hope to add some herbs to my herb garden too.  I also hope to get into the craft room to work on a few projects I am working on.  Have a great evening!  Thanks for stopping by!

A long time!

Happy Thursday! I have not posted in a few weeks! Life here has been busy and I was gone for five days last week visiting my best friend and her family!  Nothing like recharging your batteries with friends!  We made cards, ate, shopped and had a lovely time!  I am sharing the card I made for my Goddaughter's 17th Birthday!  She is always texting and I thought she would like this!  I love paper piercing and had fun doing the phone in some funky flower paper that reminded me of some cell phone covers.  Please excuse the poor lighting in the picture.  I am still working on that! I hope everyone is well and enjoying spring!  We are having a really nice one so far and I hope the warm weather stays!  I do have to mow this weekend and really do not think I have ever had to do that this early in the year!  Thanks for stopping by!
