A great weekend!

This weekend was a busy and fun one!  Saturday I had a early morning hair appointment and then head to do some shopping with my friend Faith and her girls. We first hit the scrub store in Ashboro I bought a few things for work. I now think I am set for sometime.  At work we recently went to full scrubs and I needed a few more pieces to add to what I had.  We had a great lunch out at Uptown Charlie's then headed to Hobby Lobby!!  I picked up a few fun things as well as the new copy of Cardmakers which is full of fun ideas for flowers!  I recreated a few of the flowers I saw in the magazine and will share later in the week!  I also made a wreath that I saw on Pintrest.  Oh my what an addicting place! I finally took the jump and am enjoying pinning all sorts of things!!
This is another card I made at my beach weekend. I used my new Skipping Stone stamp set Funny Coffee Vol #1. I love this set I think any set with coffee makes me happy!!  I used Papertrey Pattern paper with Bazzill base in green.  The ribbon is Stampin' UP!.  Have a wonderful week!  Thanks for stopping by!

A great Sunday!

As I sit here in my living room the Patriots just won the AFC game and are headed to the Super Bowel!!  Can you say I am totally psyched!! I am sitting in my Pat's tee and sweat shirt enjoying the win!  It was a nail bitter of a game!  Down to the last 15 seconds!!!
 Any how I know that is not why you are here but I am sure excited!!  I am sharing another card from my beach weekend.  I used Melanie Muenchinger wine set from Gina K's which is one of my favorites.  I used paper I recently bought at Archivers such a fun place!!  I colored with my copic's still trying to get a good handle on them.  I think my coloring is improving but I have a long way to go!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I have enjoyed mine!  Thanks for stopping by!

Oak Island Beach Trip

Friday I took the day off to join 5 other women for a crafting beach weekend.  I arrived early Friday morning and claimed my spot at the end of the table with the view above. I spent the next three days making cards. We also walked on the beach (really cold!!),  ate yummy food and did a lot of laughing!  I was able to make 30 cards and enjoy the view!   Here is a card using one of my new MFT A la Mode stamp sets What's Cooking?   We had a great weekend and now I am enjoying an extra day off!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week!

Just a Note

I made this card with some recently purchased MFT stamps.  I love these a la mode sets!  They are so cute and fun to use!  I paper pierced the i pod and used my copic's to color her.  I am sending this one out in a stack of cards I made for a Birthday gift.  Hope the Birthday Girl likes her cards!  Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Finally Friday!

Happy Friday!  This has been a long week.  I have had a cold and work has been crazy!  I am looking forward to a nice quite weekend of doing nothing exciting!  I made this card using my new background stamps from Skipping Stones.  I love the music notes and now I can make it with any color I wish!! I also used PTI's Harvest Berries this is one of my go to sets.  I love how it is so versatile it is!

New Stamps

After spending countless hours reading and checking out blogs I have found so many new stamp companies it is so wrong!!  My poor bank account!!  This past week after seeing another wonderful card by Stephanie's blog I'd rather be Stampin' I checked out Skipping Stones Design and place a small order.  I had been over a few times but had not taken the leap!  I bought three sets I just had to have this one!  Funny Coffee Vol 1. one of my favorite beverages is coffee!!  I used a very simple layout and like the out come.  I will be showing off a few more of the other stamp set I bought later this week!  Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome 2012

As I sit at my kitchen table I find it hard to believe it is already 2012.  I started my blog one year ago while stuck a few extra days at my Dad's over Christmas.  Anyone remember the large amount of snow the East Coast received the 25th and 26th of Dec 2010?  I do!!  These are two pictures of the snow the first one is the beginning of the storm and the second one is when it was all said and done.  About two feet of snow in various places!  It was very pretty!
Anyway,  I started to blog to share my projects with family and friends far away.  I also hoped to share with others who love to craft as much as I do!  Over the last year I have seen my work change and grow. I have gotten to know other crafters that have stopped by and realized that in the end I blog for myself.  To see where I was a year ago and where I am today. I am so thankful that there are a few of you out there that stop by!  I truly enjoy all the lovely comments that you all leave!  I hope this year will bring more time to blog and craft!  I am off to a good start with the 9 cards I have done over the weekend!  Below is a card I made for my Christmas Thank you.  I love getting back to bright colors when it is so drab outside!  I hope my rambling have not scared you away!  Well I am off to enjoy the last few hours of my day off!  Happy New Year!  Thank you for stopping by!!
