Family and .....

 Happy Saturday!  I can not believe how fast the past few days have gone! I feeling like sometimes it just goes to fast!  My sister and her family just left, I went and dropped a few things in the mail and now I am sitting down to read and relax.  I love spending time with my sister and her family.  It is sad we live so far apart and can only do it a few times a year.  There are times in my life when I wish I lived closer to her and my Dad.  Well maybe some day!  We had a great Thanksgiving!  Lots of eating,playing and talking.  I have not had any craft time this week but sometimes I think family comes first!   Here are a few pictures of my week and a tag too!  I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!

These are two pictures of me and my nephews that we took with my computer's iphoto booth. We took so many it was hard to pick.  My older nephew was hard to keep still so this is the best I can show! The four year old was easier to get a good picture with.  This is one of my favorites! We made lots of silly faces!!

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!!  I hope everyone has been having a wonderful week and you all are getting ready for the big day tomorrow!  We have reservations at 12:30 so there is not lots to do here!  Yay me!   I am spending the week with family and friends!  What a great time!  This evening I had dinner with a friend from High School!  We had a great time!  Tomorrow my sister and family arrive!  Today I am sharing another Christmas Card.  

This card I made using the window dies Poppystamps Window die. I bought both the small and large one.  I love how this came out!  I used the Papertrey Tree die.  I used a piece of plastic against the window and used flower soft for the snow.   I then used pop dots to pop it off the page.  This is a one of a kind.  I think I will send it to a friend who does not read my blog.  I think she will enjoy it!  Well I am off!  Have a great evening!!

Greetings!  Happy Tuesday!  Today I am sharing one of the tags that I have made for gifts this year!  I really love making these.  I love that I can use any shape die for tags.

For this tag I used Paper Trey's Christmas Label Die, The Tim Holtz Flower thingy( yeah not the really name sorry!), The button is Papertrey and the stamp set is Tim Holtz. Holidays

Good Monday Morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a really low key one. After being up way late Friday night it took me all weekend to recover!  Boy I am so not in my 20's!  Those were the days when I could stay up until 1am or later and get up and go all weekend!  Today I am sharing one of the Christmas Cards I made this year.  I tend to make a few of each design to send out.

I love how simple this was! When I start to work on Christmas projects I die cut and gather all my embellishments ahead of time. I also try to have my paper cut and ready to go.  That way when I have a few minutes I can throw together a card, tag or something!  This is the week I really start to get into the Holiday time!  I am now looking forward to getting my house decorated for Christmas! Well I am off to workout and this afternoon I am headed to see Skyfall with my Dad!!   Have a great day!

A busy Fall

Greetings to those left reading my blog!!  I have been so bad this fall posting.  I have not crafted a lot since Sept.  I have finally started to pick up my crafting time this past week.  It might have to do with the fact that I ordered a few things from two places!!
 This weekend I have been working on Christmas gifts, cards and tags.  I still have to take pictures of those projects.   So, today I am sharing the two Halloween cards that I made for my nephews.  I made them in Sept when I had my big crafting day.  I really am not much into Halloween but thought they would enjoy these.  I got this stamp set free from CTMH and had yet to use it! So at least they have now seen ink!

I was going to post that there was nothing craft related but that is not true! Lisa makes awesome crafts!
A few years ago I was turned on to Lisa Leonard she has a great blog and runs a really neat business selling jewelry.  I have have one piece and love it!! I hope to buy more in the future.  Yesterday she shared exciting news on her blog.  As most of my friends know I am not into reality TV but this I would watch!  She inspires me and I love reading her blog daily! Fall

I am finding it hard to believe that Fall has arrived but according to the temps at night around here it is Fall.  Tonight is a low of 44!!  YUCK!!  I enjoy my days of the 80's and night of the 50's but 40's!  Oh my!  I have not had time to do a lot of card making life has been kind of busy.  However last weekend I went to crop with my friend Faith and got thirty cards completed and a few tags.  I want to add that a few were almost complete and just needed a few touches.  Today I am sharing one of the cards I made last week using my new goodies I won at Moxie Fab!  Soho Garden rocks!  I love the paper and it came with a bunch of tags and embellishments!  I made this card using all I got in my package.  I added the the twine from my stash.  I really love the look!

Week One

Happy September and more importantly Happy Football Season!!!!! Hence my title!   I am so excited that Football is back on TV!!  I love watching or listening to Football in the fall and early winter!  When it gets cooler here in NC I will craft and watch games for now it is still yard work and outside stuff that needs to be done, before I get to watch Football! I did mange to watch part of one game today in between mowing the yard! (Go Pat's!!!)  Yay!!  I hope everyone is well and enjoying September!
 Today I am sharing a card I made in August.  I used Claudine HelImuth's Neighborhood.  I really like this set! have not had time to photograph any of the new cards and tags I have made.  I am now working on Christmas!  Oh my!!  I not big into Halloween.  I may make a card or two but that is about it.  I am off to get ready for another busy week!  I hope everyone has a fantastic week!  Catch you soon!

Girls Weekend

This weekend my best friend Judy came to visit.  She arrived Thursday.  I have been working on the inside of the house for a while. She has not been here is a few years and it needed some help not to mention the spare room was full and a bed was not what was in it!  I finished getting ready Thursday morning. End up getting an areobed 22 inch bed.  I think it will be good.  I do not get a lot of visitors, so I figured this would work.  Judy said it was ok. I realized to late I need a mattress pad for it and I think that will help.  Anyways she arrived and when she walked in she commented on my front flower beds.  Yeah I am not a great gardner!  She said lets clean this out while I am here.  So I was game.  So Friday we spent a few hours cleaning one bed then headed out to find new plants for the beds.  We had a great time came home had a nice evening.  We did have the power go out after a lovely thunderstorm!!  We got up Saturday and spent 6 hours in the yard.  Below are a few pictures from our day.  The first is our feet after the 6 hours!  We were covered in dirt, bug bites and sun burn!!  But we had a great time!

Here is the end result!  It still needs a few bags of mulch to finish it off.  I promised to keep up the weeds and keep it looking well.

Here is the card I made her to thank her for all her help this weekend.  Just so you know  it was not all work. We did manage to do a few other things!  We did go shopping out to dinner and had some time in the craft room!  Sorry the card picture is so poor!

August

I can not believe that August is half over!  This summer is flying by!  I am having a great time!  Tomorrow my best friend is coming for a girls weekend!  It will be the first one without kids and husband in a while.  I have been preparing for a few weeks now.  I did some painting, changed some fixtures,  did lots of purging and cleaning.  I have not had time for crafting but I have gotten my craft room in order.  We plan to spend a lot of time in it this weekend!  Judy is bring a few projects and I have a few I need to work on as well.  Here is a card I made a few weeks ago when the temps were in the 100's.  I used no stamps and love how it turned out!  Hope everyone is well!

Christmas in July

WOW!  I am trying to figure out how it is almost the end of the month!  I wish summer would not go so fast!! Since it is the 25th and Christmas in July I am sharing a Christmas card I made last week.  I am hoping to get a jump start on my cards for this year!  Sorry it is not the best picture!! My last Stamp-a-fair Challenge Tie Die

This is the last challenge that i finished.  There are a few more that I have started and have not been able to finish.  Here is my take on one of the three tie die technique's that Nichole shared yesterday.  I have used only PTI on most of my work so I only had two reinkers from PTI black and the old formula of simply chartreuse.  SO I went for it with them and really like how it came out!  I will be doing this one again soon!

Afternoon!  I am enjoying a lovely afternoon in my craft room.  Well really I have been stamping poorly and throwing away!  I am taking the Stretch your Stamp Class on line which is fun.  I am learning lots but having issues with my stamps today!  I did manage one card with out issue.  Today's class was about using letter stamps in various ways. I did the masking technique. 

The letter set is CTMH and I used Dot Spot Stamp Set from PTI.  I used PTI Terracotta,  Melon Berry and Chartreuse inks.  Paper is white PTI and I am not sure of what the basis is I used it from my stash.  Thanks for stopping by!

100th post

To most it is not may to me it is a mile stone!  I really enjoy reading blogs but seem to have a hard time putting the words that are in my head into a blog post!  I had a busy start to my weekend my sister and her family came by for a quick over night on the way to there beach week in South Carolina with her husband Kevin's family.  I love getting nephew time time even if it is a quickie!  Here is a cute shot of me and Robert in our shades!  He loves to ham it up!  His older brother Harry is not a camera kid and I only got a few shots of him from the side.

After they left Saturday morning I spent the rest of the day doing various things around the house.  I did spend a little time in my craft room and made a few cards.  Today I also spent time there too.  I made about 25 cards in the past two weekends. With the temps in the 100's both weekends being outside was way over rated!  Here is one I made last weekend!  

A quick birthday card I made using very little stamping. I used paper and ribbon.  I stamped it with my go to PTI Happy Birthday stamp from Signature Greetings.  I wish everyone a wonderful week!

Above is the info from NOAA from yesterday am, on the weather in my area for the weekend and beginning of next week.    Just a little hot!!  I have to say that in the many years I have lived here it has not been this hot for this long this early!! Usually it is a day or two in the high 90's but never over 100 for this many days!  Yesterday was gross today was just plan hot!!  I got out early and did what I needed to do the was home by 10am.  I spent the rest of the day in my craft room!!  Yay me!! I made cards and put some packages together to send out.  Below is a card I made last weekend no stamping involved! It is a sunny card for a very hot and sunny day!! A week late...

Happy Belated Father's Day!   I am sharing my Father's Day Card a week late because I have been on vacation.  I was able to spend Father's Day with my Dad and we had a great day!  We were in Maine and had a lovely day at the beach then dinner at one our favorite restaurants Barnacle Billy's.  The above picture is my Dad eating his lobster.  We both really enjoyed our meal.
Here is the card I gave him while we were at dinner. He really loved it.  I should have gotten a picture of him.  We had a great trip to Maine.  I really love that place.  I wish it was a little closer!!  I hope everyone has a wonderful week!  Thanks for stopping by!

For Mom

Five years ago today my Mom left this earth.  Not a day goes by that I do not miss her and wish she was still here.  I can not tell you how many times the first year she was gone that I would head to the phone because I had a question that I knew she could answer.  The days go on and I still miss her.  Today I celebrate her life! We had a lovely Mass this morning for her then had friends and family over for coffee, cookies and donuts.  I did some shopping which I know she would be happy with!  She always loved a good bargain!!  Here I am sharing a card I made yesterday using my new PTI set for the Stamp-a-faire that is happening later this summer. (love love this set!!) To honor her and let her know she is missed and will be always!
 I am also sharing a picture of my Mom at one of our most favorite places Maine.  It reminds me of wonderful family times we had.

Sundays

I love Sundays! Mostly because it is my day to do what I want to do!  Today I did house work, went to a church picnic, did lawn work and played in my craft room!  Here is a card I made for a Birthday coming up at work.   Very simple I used what I had on my craft table for embellishments.  I really love this PTI stamp set.  It is so easy to use and I never am disappointed in the out come! Fun Times

Hello all!! Today I am sharing some wonderful work by two lovely children in my life!  My weekend was jam packed with fun!  Sat after doing chores and car stuff I took a short car ride to meet up with three other ladies.  We were off on a two and half hour kayaking trip followed by dinner at one of our local winery's.  What a blast!! The weather was amazing and we just had a great time!  Sunday morning I was off to spend the day with my friend Faith's two girls.  She and her husband were headed home from a wedding and I said I would love to spend the day with them!  We had a blast!  I brought a bunch of craft stuff and we made cards!  We also spent most of the day out side. It was another amazing weather day!  I am sharing the cards we made.  Her daughters are 10 and 4. I think they did great jobs!!

I really had a wonderful weekend!  I hope you all have a wonderful week!
